Our programs support various aspects of healthy ocean advocacy and community engagement. Our Seaworthy “Seas The Day” Curriculum has helped educate and engage thousands of school age local youth, through hands-on classroom activities and volunteer community events. Volunteer events include Palm Sundays beach clean-ups and community cookouts, Reruns recycling runs, and participating in our Swim-For-Life swim lessons.

Seaworthy is dedicated to supporting healthy oceans and coastal communities. Founded by Jan Ruley, both a healthy oceans advocate & curator of Caribbean culture, she believes the future survival of both are at stake. Her love for the ocean and the Caribbean was passed down to her daughters, Amanda & Alex, who grew up in the islands of the West Indies and are active in our youth programs. Living the simple life in the Caribbean inspired a not so simple idea. Let’s support, educate and cultivate strong cultural coastal communities and keep the oceans, rivers and waterways that surround them healthy.
